Joseph's menu is a wonderful example of American cooking, with all its pop-culture influences. Among the specials of the night when we dined there were meat loaf and boiled lobster. Steak, chicken, and pasta are regular items, as are an assortment of omelets and eight variations of fajitas. If you stick to the basics you'll find the food a cut above most pub offerings. Try fried haddock and clam strips, onion rings, or chicken spinach Popeye.
